Notes: This wide-angle image was taken in May 1997 shortly after my last Hale-Bopp observations (see my Hale-Bopp Image Gallery). Sky colors at dusk in northwestern direction were especially beautiful that evening. The bright object at left is Venus. The straight cirrus clouds were left behind by airplanes crossing the sky. The object at right is the transmitter station atop the hill in central Burgenland.
