Notes: This photograph was taken with a 17mm "fisheye" wide-angle lens on Sophienalpe, an observation site at the edge of Vienna. My 4" refractor is dominating the forground, ready for observing. In the background, some other observations are going on. The bright light in the sky is the moon, which lightend up the whole scene. The "moonlike" patch of light at the right side of the photo is in fact a reflex of the moon caused by internal reflections within the lens, by which the moon's phase can be determined.
